From spicy cayenne lemonade with acerola cherry to Brazil nut milk with cashews, cocoa and cinnamon, 'purifying' health beverages made a splash at BevNET's New Beverage Showdown, June 4-5, 2013, at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City.

These trendy drinks help consumers ‘cleanse’ their systems, boost their metabolisms and reload on nutrient-rich and tasty, exotic ingredients, as Sambazon’s Senior Brand Director Elizabeth Lombardi and former Chief Marketing Officer Greg Fleishman explained in this short video clip from the event. These drinks reduce environmental waste, too, which is a proposition increasingly important to mainstream consumers and one of the main reasons Sambazon transitioned its new large cleanse beverages to 32-ounce Tetra Pak cartons.

Sambazon operates with a philosophy called the Triple Bottom Line, which measures success economically, socially and environmentally. The company works to deliver nutritious products in a manner that positively impacts the people who make and use them, as well as protect the planet.
